The much-awaited film ‘Adipurush,’ starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, has generated excitement among fans as booking for the movie has begun. Directed by Om Raut, the film is based on the Hindu epic ‘Ramayana.’ As the release date approaches, the makers have been taking various promotional initiatives, including a recent devotional move where they announced the reservation of one empty seat in every theatre during the film’s screening. The purpose behind this gesture is to honour Lord Hanuman, an essential character in the Ramayana, who is believed to be present wherever the story of Lord Ram is recited.

However, this announcement has sparked speculation about the pricing of the adjacent seat next to the one reserved for Lord Hanuman. Reports have surfaced suggesting that the seat might be overpriced to capitalize on the audience’s belief. To address these rumours, T-Series, the official producer of ‘Adipurush,’ took to social media on Sunday to provide clarification.

In a tweet labelled ‘Fraud Alert,’ the production team debunked the speculation, stating that there will be no difference in ticket prices for the seats next to the one reserved for Hanuman ji. They emphasized that no decision has been made to overprice those seats. The tweet from T-Series read, “We want to clarify that there will be no differences in rats for seats next to the one reserved for Hanuman ji.”

‘Adipurush’ is one of the most highly anticipated films of the year. It features Prabhas portraying the character of Raghav (another name for Lord Ram) and Kriti Sanon as Janaki (another name for Goddess Sita). Marathi actor Devdatta Naage plays the role of Lord Hanuman, while Saif Ali Khan takes on the character of Lankesh (another name for King Ravana). The film faced criticism for its bad visual effects and factual issues with the portrayal of characters when the initial trailer was released in Ayodhya last year. However, the production team took a break, rescheduled the release date, and worked on addressing the feedback. They released two separate trailers the previous month, which garnered widespread acceptance and appreciation from the audience.

‘Adipurush’ is scheduled to hit the screens on July 16. Stay tuned for further updates on the film.
