Salman Khan’s Eid release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, directed by Farhad Samji, has garnered a decent response at the box office. The film, which stars Pooja Hegde and Venkatesh Daggubati in pivotal roles, opened slowly in India but picked up the pace over the weekend with the help of the lucrative Eid holidays and Salman Khan’s popularity during the festival. The film grossed around Rs 62.50 crores net in India in its opening weekend and approximately Rs 35 crores gross internationally, bringing the total to Rs 110 crores gross worldwide in just three days.

Salman Khan’s loyal fan base has always turned up in large numbers to support the superstar during Eid, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan is no different. Despite a slow start on the first day, the film’s collections saw a significant jump over the weekend, making it the second-highest Indian grosser of 2023 at the worldwide box office, surpassing Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The international box office collections of the film have been particularly strong, with the film’s international weekend earnings being twice that of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.

The day-wise worldwide box office collections of Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan are as follows:

Day 1 – Rs 27 crores,

Day 2 – Rs 43 crores,

Day 3 – Rs 40 crores.

However, the real challenge for the film will be to maintain its momentum during the weekdays, especially with the post-Eid stickiness on Monday. The film needs to hold at least 60% of its opening weekend collection to ensure a long theatrical run.

Salman Khan’s next release will be Tiger 3, co-starring Katrina Kaif. The film is almost ready with just one critical sequence left to be shot, along with some patchwork. As of now, Salman Khan has no releases scheduled for the year 2024, and a decision regarding the same is expected to be made within the next few weeks.

Overall, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan has had a decent opening weekend, and with Salman Khan’s star power, the film is expected to do well in the coming days.
