New Delhi:  Bollywood actress Isha Koppikar, known for her roles in films like “Kyaa Kool Hai Hum”, “Krishna Cottage”, “Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi”, and “Don”, is quite active on social media. She frequently engages in discussions about self-worth, emotional well-being, and flexibility. Recently, in an interview, the actress shared a shocking incident from the set of her first film “Chandralekha”, where she worked with South Superstar Nagarjuna.

Actress Asked the Hero to Slap Her

In a recent interview with Hindi Rush, Isha revealed that her co-star slapped her multiple times. Sharing a behind-the-scenes moment, she said, “Nagarjuna slapped me. I was a completely committed artist and wanted to act in the most realistic way. So, when he slapped me, I didn’t feel it. It was my second film, so I told him, ‘Naga, please slap me for real.’ He said, ‘Are you sure? No, I can’t do that.’ I insisted, ‘I need to feel that. I’m not feeling it right now.’ So, he slapped me, but lightly.”

Slap Marks Were Left on Her Cheeks

Isha Koppikar continued, explaining how she couldn’t capture the required anger and intensity for the scene, and the camera wasn’t able to capture her emotions properly. “In an attempt to show anger, I was slapped 14 times,” she said. The 48-year-old actress recalled, “I literally had marks on my face. Poor guy sat me down and apologised. I told him, ‘Why are you apologising? I asked for it!'”

Isha Koppikar’s Career

Isha Koppikar made her debut with the Telugu comedy-drama film Chandralekha alongside Nagarjuna. The film was directed by Krishna Vamsi and also starred Ramya Krishna. It was a remake of a 1997 Malayalam film. Later, Isha appeared in the Tamil film Kadhal Kavithai. She made her Bollywood debut in 2000 with the film Fiza, where she played a supporting role alongside Hrithik Roshan and Karisma Kapoor.

She then went on to appear in films like Pyaar Ishq Aur Mohabbat, Pinjar, Kyaa Kool Hai Hum, Don, Salaam-E-Ishq: A Tribute to Love, and Darling. Her most recent appearances have been in the web series Suranga and Dahanam.
