Reports Say: Saif Ali Khan to Skip Adipurush Promotions Due to Annual Vacation with Family

Saif Ali Khan, who will be seen playing the role of Ravana in the upcoming mythological drama Adipurush, might not promote the film, according to reports. The reason behind this decision is said to be his annual vacation plans with his family, including his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and sons Taimur and Jeh. However, there has been no official confirmation from the actor or the film’s team yet.

The promotions of Adipurush are expected to focus almost entirely on Prabhas, who will play the central character inspired by Rama. “The promotions are being planned at a lowkey level and they will center almost entirely on Prabhas who plays the central character inspired by Rama. Prabhas has given dates for promotion in May,” an insider was quoted as saying by a leading entertainment portal.

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush is a cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana. Along with Prabhas and Saif, Kriti Sanon will be seen playing the role of Janaki. The film’s trailer, which was released last year, received backlash from fans who criticized the VFX. However, the film’s editor Ashish Mhatre had stated earlier this year that no major changes have been made to the VFX after the backlash.

Adipurush is being touted as one of the biggest films in Prabhas’ career and has been made on a budget of Rs 300 crore. The film is jointly bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series and Retrophiles. It is slated to release on June 16, 2023.
