Ram Pothineni‘s much-awaited collaboration with director Boyapati Sreenu, “Skanda: The Attacker,” hit theatres on September 28th, 2023. While the mass-action film received a mixed response from audiences and critics, fans are eagerly anticipating its digital release on Disney+Hotstar, scheduled for October 27th, 2023. The film will be available in Telugu and also feature dubbed versions in Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam, ensuring its reach across a diverse audience.

“Skanda: The Attacker” revolves around the character Bhaskar Raju, played by Ram Pothineni, who kidnaps the daughters of the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. His motive becomes clear as it is revealed that he is seeking retribution for the wrongful imprisonment of his father’s close friend, Rudrakanti Ramakrishna Raju, a CEO. As the narrative unfolds, a doppelganger of Bhaskar named Skanda enters the scene, countering the antagonists and setting the stage for a potential sequel.

The action-packed venture boasts an ensemble cast, including Sreeleela, Saiee Manjrekar, Srikanth, Sharath Lohithaswa, Prince Cecil, and Urvashi Rautela in pivotal roles. Notably, the movie also features Daggubati Raja, Gauthami, and Indraja, adding depth to the storyline with their engaging performances.

Marking their fourth collaboration, renowned music director S. Thaman’s composition for “Skanda: The Attacker” enriches the film with its powerful and resonant score, adding further depth to the on-screen drama. Before this film, Thaman had previously collaborated with Ram Pothineni on successful projects such as “Kandireega” (2011), “Masala” (2013), and “Pandaga Chesko” (2015).

With its impending release on Disney+Hotstar, “Skanda: The Attacker” is expected to captivate audiences with its gripping narrative and high-energy performances, ensuring a thrilling viewing experience for fans of the action genre and Telugu cinema enthusiasts alike.
