Veteran actor and Telugu cinema icon Chiranjeevi turned 70 on 22 August 2025, and the occasion was marked with heartfelt celebrations across the industry and among fans. Among those who celebrated the day most personally was his son, actor Ram Charan, who shared a touching tribute online.

In a video posted to his social media account, Ram Charan is seen embracing his father warmly and respectfully touching his feet. The moment was a public expression of gratitude and affection from a son to his father and mentor.

Alongside the video, Ram Charan wrote an emotional message:
“Today is not just your birthday, NANA. It is a celebration of the incredible man you are. My hero, my guide, my inspiration. Every success I’ve had and every value I hold comes from you. At 70, you are becoming even more youthful in spirit and more inspiring than ever. I wish you good health, happiness, and many more beautiful years. Official title of Mega157 revealed: Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu

In celebration of Chiranjeevi’s milestone birthday, the makers of his next film unveiled the official title: Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, this marks the first collaboration between the filmmaker and the Megastar. A special birthday teaser was released, featuring Chiranjeevi in a classic black tuxedo, hinting at a stylish and entertaining role.

The film, described as a comedy action entertainer, is scheduled for release during the Sankranthi festival in 2026. Leading actresses Nayanthara and Catherine Tresa will feature in prominent roles, while reports suggest Venkatesh Daggubati may make a guest appearance.

Chiranjeevi’s upcoming films

Beyond Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, Chiranjeevi is also working on Vishwambhara, a fantasy drama co-starring Trisha Krishnan. Originally intended for a 2025 release, the film’s premiere has been postponed to Summer 2026 to accommodate extensive post-production and visual effects.

Additionally, Chiranjeevi has committed to future projects with directors Bobby Kolli and Srikanth Odela, continuing his active presence in the industry.

Ram Charan’s next release

Ram Charan is currently filming Peddi, a rural sports action drama directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on 27 March 2026. The cast includes Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, and Divyendu in key roles.

As both father and son continue to work on high-profile projects, their bond remains a source of admiration for fans and a reminder of the emotional roots behind the glamour of cinema.
