This sneak peek offers the initial glimpse into Rajinikanth’s next venture, becoming an exhilarating treat for fervent admirers eagerly anticipating Thalaivar 170. The double release of the film’s title and teaser on Rajinikanth’s birthday serves as a dual celebration, sparking anticipation while commemorating the star’s special day.

Thalaivar 170, directed by TJ Gnanavel, acclaimed for helming Jai Bhim, reportedly features Rajinikanth in the role of a retired Muslim police officer reopening a case to seek justice. The movie has seen filming across diverse locations like Thiruvananthapuram, Tirunelveli, and Mumbai following its initiation earlier this year.

Encompassing an ensemble cast to complement Rajinikanth’s pivotal role, the movie features the stellar presence of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan alongside talents like Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Rithika Singh, Manju Warrier, and Dussara Vijayan in significant roles.

Earlier glimpses shared by Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan during the latter’s scene filming in Mumbai set social media abuzz, igniting excitement about witnessing two legends of Indian cinema sharing the screen once more.

Rajinikanth’s Upcoming Projects

Post Thalaivar 170, Rajinikanth gears up for his next venture, Thalaivar 171, marking his collaboration with director Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for successes like Master and Vikram. Despite its connection with Lokesh’s cinematic universe, Thalaivar 171 stands as an independent storyline.

Reports suggest dancer-turned-actor Raghava Lawrence is set to play the antagonist opposite Rajinikanth. Discussions are ongoing for roles with Sivakarthikeyan and Jeeva of Kaaka Kaaka fame. Sun Pictures is bankrolling this ambitious project, featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander and action direction by Anbariv.
