Renowned actor Prabhas, known for his notable performances in the past, is now placing his hopes on the much-anticipated sci-fi extravaganza Kalki 2898 AD, helmed by the talented director Nag Ashwin. As the film’s production house, Vyjayanthi Movies, released a silhouette poster of Prabhas in celebration of his birthday, the intriguing glimpse has sparked curiosity among audiences, heightening the anticipation for the upcoming cinematic spectacle.

Set to feature an ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, Kamal Haasan, Rana Daggubati, and cameo appearances by renowned directors Ram Gopal Varma and SS Rajamouli, Kalki 2898 AD is slated for a grand release on January 12 in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Telugu, and English.

Amidst the buzz surrounding the film, reports have emerged speculating a possible delay in the release of the much-awaited project. According to a recent report by India Today, director Nag Ashwin is contemplating pushing the release date of the film to May 9, considering it to be an auspicious date for the film’s producer, C. Aswani Dutt. The speculated decision is purportedly inspired by the success of the director’s previous blockbusters, “Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari” and “Mahanati,” both of which were released on May 9.

While the makers are yet to confirm the veracity of these rumours, the anticipation continues to build as audiences eagerly await further updates on this ambitious sci-fi venture.

Previously, Vyjayanthi Movies offered a sneak peek into the film at the San Diego Comic-Con, revealing a glimpse of the futuristic world envisioned by the director. The teaser showcased Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Prabhas in a riveting war-like scenario, accentuating the film’s captivating narrative and promising a visual spectacle like never before.

With acclaimed composer Santhosh Narayanan on board to curate the film’s musical landscape, the stage is set for Kalki 2898 AD to captivate audiences with its gripping storyline and visual extravaganza, promising an immersive cinematic experience that transcends boundaries. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date saga unfolds, adding to the excitement surrounding one of the most highly anticipated films of the year.
