In a development that has set the internet abuzz, producer Vishnu Manchu dropped a cryptic hint that seems to suggest that the revered actor Prabhas might be gearing up to portray the role of Lord Shiva in the upcoming period drama, ‘Kannappa’. This news comes as a delightful surprise for Prabhas’ fans who have been eagerly awaiting announcements regarding his next venture.

Earlier in the day, Vishnu Manchu took to the micro-blogging platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to somewhat confirm Prabhas’ involvement in the project. Although the details of Prabhas’ character remain under wraps, Manchu’s comment “Har Har Mahadev” accompanied by heart emojis, has led fans to speculate that Prabhas will be stepping into the divine role of Lord Shiva. This comes after Prabhas’ portrayal of Lord Ram in ‘Adipurush’, a role that unfortunately did not resonate as expected with the audience.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala further fueled the excitement by posting a photo of Prabhas and Manchu together, hinting at their collaboration for ‘Kannappa’. Responding to this, Manchu reiterated his cryptic hint, adding to the growing anticipation surrounding the project.

The film, which is slated to commence shooting shortly, recently held a puja ceremony to mark the beginning of this grand cinematic journey. Under the direction of Mukesh Singh and the collaborative writing efforts of Paruchuri Gopalakrishna, Burra Sai Madhav, and Thota Prasad, ‘Kannappa’ promises to be a narrative rich in depth and grandeur. The film also marks the entry of Nupur Sanon, Kriti Sanon’s sister, into the limelight, adding to the star-studded cast. Produced by Ava Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory, the film’s musical score will be helmed by the talented duo of Mani Sharma and Stephen Devasi, promising an epic drama that resonates with audiences.
