The excitement and anticipation surrounding Mahesh Babu‘s upcoming film, “Guntur Kaaram,” continue to build as the latest reports reveal the staggering amount fetched for its theatrical rights. According to industry sources, the theatrical rights for “Guntur Kaaram” have been sold for a jaw-dropping Rs 120 crore for the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone. This eye-popping figure has set a new record for regional films, showcasing the immense popularity and appeal of Mahesh Babu.

However, the massive deal doesn’t stop at the domestic market. It is reported that the film’s theatrical rights will be sold worldwide for a staggering Rs 155 crore, a testament to the global fan base and anticipation for “Guntur Kaaram.” Film distributors have already secured their respective shares in this lucrative deal, with each region commanding its significant sum.

The breakdown of the theatrical rights distribution is as follows: the Nizam Area has secured the rights for Rs 45 crore, the Andhra region for approximately Rs 60 crore, and the Ceded districts for Rs 18 crore. These numbers underscore the immense demand and competition for the rights to exhibit “Guntur Kaaram.”

As the film gears up for its release on January 12, 2024, coinciding with the Sankranti festival, fans can’t contain their excitement. “Guntur Kaaram” marks the third collaboration between Mahesh Babu and acclaimed director Trivikram, known for their previous successful ventures like “Athadu” and “Khaleja.”

The ensemble cast of “Guntur Kaaram” includes Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, and Ramya Krishna, promising a power-packed performance on screen. The film is produced by S Radha Krishna under Haarika and Hassine Creations, and the music is composed by the talented Thaman S.

With an estimated budget of Rs 200 crore, “Guntur Kaaram” is poised to be a grand family entertainer with a pan-India release, catering to Mahesh Babu’s fans from across the nation.

Notably, actress Pooja Hegde was initially cast as one of the female leads in the film but had to withdraw from the project due to scheduling conflicts. She was replaced by the talented Meenakshi Chaudhary. Reports suggest that Pooja Hegde had already completed ten days of shooting before her departure.

As the release date approaches and the excitement continues to mount, “Guntur Kaaram” is undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated films of 2024, and its theatrical rights deal only adds to the buzz surrounding this Mahesh Babu starter.
