The remastered version of Simhadri, presented in 4K, witnessed a strong opening at the box office. Following the incident, Jr. NTR’s fans took to social media platforms to express their disappointment and concern over the reckless behaviour displayed by a few individuals. Who will be held responsible for the damage caused to the property?” Another user expressed sadness, remarking in Telugu, “This is truly disheartening. The theatre owner now has to bear the consequences of the actions of a few unruly fans.”

Despite the unfortunate incident, Simhadri made an impressive return to the theatres, registering a massive opening day collection of Rs 5.14 crore. Directed by renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli, Simhadri marked his second collaboration with Jr. NTR after the successful film Student No 1.
