SSMB28: Mahesh Babu & Trivikram Srinivas film collaborates with Netflix for a whopping deal worth Rs. 81cr

The deadly combination of Telugu Prince Mahesh Babu and filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas are collaborating for the third time for their next. Tentatively titled SSMB28, the film is expected to deliver a blockbuster hat-trick with their combination coming together. Now recent update on that front is that the makers of the entertainer have signed an important deal with Netflix for Rs. 81 Crores.

SSMB28 is one of the most awaited movies releasing this year and it will have its premiere on the OTT space, post 50 days after its theatrical release. The digital rights of the movie is acquired by the popular streaming platform Netflix for a whopping Rs. 81 crores, which is the highest-ever deal for a Telugu cinema. A source close to the film confirmed the developments adding, “SSMB28 is one of the most awaited movies releasing this year and it has become a hot topic even though the makers haven’t yet announced the title or released the first-look poster yet. We all know that because of Mahesh Babu’s brand name, there is a huge demand for the theatrical rights of his films. But the recent one is an astonishing deal.”

S Radhakrishna (aka China Babu) is producing the film on a massive scale with a huge budget under the banner Haarika & Hassine Creations. The film is expected to be an epic action entertainer laced with family elements and fans will once again get to witness the chemistry of Pooja Hegde and Mahesh Babu after Maharshi (2019).

From what we hear, Trivikram penned a first-of-its-kind subject to present Mahesh Babu in a never seen before character. The superstar is also expected to have undergone a new makeover and will be seen in a rugged avatar with long hair and a beard in the film.

The music of SSMB28 will be composed by S Thaman, whereas, the team will also comprise of art director AS Prakash, editor Navin Nooli and cinematographer PS Vinod. The regular shoot of the movie commenced a couple of weeks ago in Hyderabad. However, the makers are yet to announce the release date of the same.
