Mega157: Nayanthara Teams Up with Chiranjeevi for Their Third Telugu Film Together

Nayanthara is making a grand return to Telugu cinema with Mega157! On Saturday, the makers of Chiranjeevi’s much-anticipated film officially announced her as the female lead. The news was revealed through a lively announcement video shared by director Anil Ravipudi, adding to the excitement surrounding the project.

Nayanthara is officially on board for Mega157, marking her much-awaited return to Telugu cinema. In a charming announcement video, the actress is seen getting ready for a shoot while speaking in Telugu. When a member of her makeup team casually asks if she’s doing a Telugu film next, she simply smiles — a subtle yet exciting confirmation.

The video continues with Nayanthara in her car, requesting the driver to turn up the volume of the energetic song Star Star. Director Anil Ravipudi then makes an appearance, signaling that their new collaboration is all set to begin.

Sharing the video, Ravipudi wrote

Mega157 is slated for release during Sankranthi 2026. Billed as a mass entertainer, details about the film’s storyline remain under wraps. The project will be bankrolled by Shine Screens.

Nayanthara made her Telugu film debut with Lakshmi in 2006 and went on to appear in Boss. She has previously shared the screen with Chiranjeevi in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and Godfather, making Mega157 their third collaboration.

On the professional front, Nayanthara was last seen in the sports drama Test, which premiered on Netflix in April. Co-starring R. Madhavan and Siddharth, the film received mixed reviews from audiences and critics alike.
