Actor Kajal Aggarwal has unveiled her first look from Kannappa, which also stars Akshay Kumar and Prabhas. Sharing the image on Instagram, Kajal revealed her portrayal of Parvati Devi and described the role as a ‘dream come true’.

Kajal Aggarwal Reveals First Look from Kannappa:

In the newly released poster, Kajal Aggarwal is seen draped in a white saree, accessorized with intricate jewelry. The poster’s tagline reads: “The Mother who rules the three worlds! The Trishakti who protects her devotees! In the sacred Sri Kalahasti shrine resides the holy Jana Prasunambika!” Kajal shared the image with the caption, “A dream role indeed! Happy to be starting 2025 on this divine note #Kannappa #HarHarMahadev #MAAParvatiDevi.” Actress Tamannaah Bhatia reacted to the post, commenting, “So beautiful.”

About Kannappa:

Kannappa is directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Vishnu Manchu under the banners of AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory. The film features a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Preity Mukhundhan, Mohanlal, Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Brahmanandam, Madhoo, and Mukesh Rishi. Set to release in multiple languages—Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and English—the film is poised to reach a wide audience.

The story follows the legendary Kannappa, one of Lord Shiva’s greatest devotees. It chronicles his journey from a humble hunter to a fierce warrior and ultimately to a revered saint, earning him the title of Nayanar. The film’s music is composed by Mani Sharma and Stephen Devassy, with cinematography by Sheldon Chau. Kannappa is a mythological fantasy set for theatrical release on April 25.

Kannappa at Cannes:

Last year, the teaser for the fantasy drama Kannappa was screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Following the screening, Vishnu Manchu took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his excitement: “We showcased the teaser of Kannappa here at Cannes, and the response has been overwhelming! International distributors, local Indians, and everyone who watched it absolutely loved it. I’m thrilled and have butterflies in my stomach after witnessing such fantastic reactions!”
