Thalapathy Vijay Likely to Collaborate with Director Venkat Prabhu for Thalapathy 68

The South film industry is abuzz with speculations about Thalapathy Vijay‘s next project after Leo. Several directors’ names have been thrown into the mix, including Atlee and Gopichand Malineni. However, the latest buzz suggests that director Venkat Prabhu may be teaming up with Thalapathy Vijay for their upcoming film tentatively titled Thalapathy 68. This rumour gained traction after a picture of the star posing with the director surfaced on social media.

According to reports, Venkat Prabhu narrated a one-liner to Thalapathy Vijay, who was impressed and requested the director to work on the script. Venkat Prabhu, known for his films like Maanadu, Mankatha, and Manmadhai Leela, is said to be currently working on the script, and an official announcement is expected soon.

Thalapathy 68 has been surrounded by speculation, with previous reports suggesting that Gopichand Malineni or Atlee might helm the project. The rumours gained momentum when Gopichand Malineni, the director of Veera Simha Reddy, started following Vijay on Instagram. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding the director for Thalapathy Vijay’s next venture.

In the meantime, Thalapathy Vijay is currently occupied with the shooting of his upcoming film Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film is said to be part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Cinematic Universe. Leo brings together Vijay and Trisha Krishnan as the lead pair after a gap of 14 years. The movie boasts a stellar star cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, and others. Leo is scheduled to release on October 19, this year, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the songs and the original score for the project.
