Coolie: Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Action Thriller Completes Filming with Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Footage

Superstar Rajinikanth is gearing up to take the lead in the action thriller Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Although an official release date has yet to be revealed, the team has shared an exciting promo following the completion of filming.

In a recent social media update, the creators treated fans to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the Coolie sets, offering a first glimpse at Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Shruti Haasan, and more.

Talking about the film, Coolie is set to be an action-packed entertainer, with Rajinikanth portraying a character with a negative shade. Alongside the superstar, notable actors like Nagarjuna Akkineni and Upendra Rao will play crucial roles.

The film boasts a star-studded ensemble cast, including Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, and Sathyaraj in pivotal roles. Additionally, Aamir Khan will make a special cameo appearance, while actress Pooja Hegde has been confirmed for a dance sequence in the movie.

On the work front, director Lokesh Kanagaraj recently made waves online after appearing alongside Karthi, where they teased the arrival of Kaithi 2, dispelling any rumors of further delays. In a recent interview, Lokesh also expressed his excitement about expanding his cinematic universe, with plans for a Rolex standalone movie and a Vikram sequel to wrap up the saga.

On the other hand, superstar Rajinikanth was last seen in Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel. In this police action drama, he portrayed an IPS officer with expertise in encounter cases. The film, featuring Rajinikanth in the title role, also boasted a stellar ensemble cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Rithika Singh, and several others in key roles.

In addition to Coolie, Rajinikanth is also set to star in Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. This much-anticipated sequel will continue the story of Jailer, with Rajinikanth reprising his iconic role as “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian.
