Coolie Unleashed: Rajinikanth’s Fiery Return Paired with Anirudh’s Thunderous ‘Powerhouse’ Score

Coolie Unleashed: With just 100 days to go before Coolie hits theaters worldwide, the makers have dropped an electrifying sneak peek to build anticipation for the Rajinikanth starrer. Unveiling the short promo, the creators shared the caption: “Arangam Adhirattume, Whistle Parakkattume! #CoolieIn100Days. #Coolie worldwide from August 14th.”

The teaser, which is set to a high-octane track speculated to be titled Coolie Powerhouse, offers a dramatic glimpse of key characters, showcasing the backs of Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir.

Coolie, the highly anticipated action entertainer directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, stars Rajinikanth in a commanding lead role and is set to hit theaters on August 14, 2025. The film recently made headlines after composer Anirudh Ravichander offered a glowing early review. In a YouTube interview, Anirudh revealed that he had seen most of the film and described it as “ominous and super,” fueling excitement among fans.

Reportedly a standalone film outside of Kanagaraj’s signature Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), Coolie is expected to showcase Rajinikanth in a powerful role with shades of grey—a thrilling twist for the superstar’s fans.

The ensemble cast includes big names like Nagarjuna Akkineni, Upendra Rao, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir, with a special cameo by Bollywood star Aamir Khan. The film’s release during Independence Day week sets it up for a major box-office clash with War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR.

On the work front, Rajinikanth is also set to return in Jailer 2, the sequel to Nelson Dilipkumar’s 2023 blockbuster Jailer. The sequel is rumored to feature a cameo by Nandamuri Balakrishna, alongside appearances by Fahadh Faasil and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
