In an exclusive conversation, producer Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films confirmed the anticipated release of Salaar’s sequel by the end of 2025, divulging crucial details about its progression.

“The script of Salaar 2 is ready,” Kiragandur disclosed. “Prabhas and Prashanth are keen to initiate filming soon. We’ve aimed to commence the production within the next 15 months, ensuring a theatrical release in 2025, approximately 18 months from now.”

Reflecting on Salaar: Part 1’s reception, Kiragandur expressed contentment with the audience’s response. “Salaar has been a jubilant moment for Prabhas enthusiasts worldwide,” he shared. Acknowledging minor criticisms, he emphasised the overwhelming acclaim for the film’s production, scale, and portrayal of Prabhas as an ‘angry young man’ after two decades.

Amidst Prabhas’s jubilation and anticipation for part two, Kiragandur hinted at Salaar 2’s grandeur, likening it to the epic storytelling of Game of Thrones. “Consider Salaar 1 as a trailer; part two promises a larger canvas of action, drama, and scale,” he teased. “Prashanth laid the groundwork with character introductions in the initial part. Now, Salaar 2 will resonate with the intricacies of Game of Thrones, amplifying drama, politics, and intense action, further elevating the gripping cliffhanger presented.”
