Mahesh Babu, one of the biggest superstars in South Indian cinema, has always been known for his stellar performances and unique quirks. With a career that spans over 25 movies, Mahesh Babu attributes his success not only to hard work but also to luck and certain sentiments that hold a special place in his heart. One such intriguing sentiment is his unwavering tradition of skipping the puja and muharat ceremony of his films.

Throughout his illustrious career, Mahesh Babu has been a part of more than 25 films, and surprisingly, he has never attended a single puja ceremony for any of them. Instead, he adheres to a personal sentiment where his beloved family takes centre stage during these auspicious occasions. Mahesh Babu’s wife, Namrata, along with their children, Sitara and Gautam, represent him at these ceremonies and even have the honour of giving the first clap to kickstart the film’s production.

The reasons behind this unique sentiment remain shrouded in mystery, as Mahesh Babu has never publicly disclosed the rationale for this practice. Nevertheless, it has become a consistent part of his cinematic journey, with his family dutifully stepping in to fulfil these ceremonial roles.

However, there might be an interesting twist on the horizon. Mahesh Babu’s next project after “Guntur Kaaram” is with none other than the acclaimed director SS Rajamouli. This collaboration is significant, as it marks Rajamouli’s highly anticipated project following the worldwide success of “RRR.” The film is poised to be a grand production, with the inclusion of Hollywood actors adding to its allure. Fans and industry insiders are now eagerly awaiting to see whether Mahesh Babu will maintain his long-held sentiment or choose to break it for this momentous endeavour, known as SSMB28.

On the professional front, Mahesh Babu has recently teamed up with director Trivikram Srinivas for a project tentatively titled “Guntur Kaaram.” This dynamic actor-director duo has previously delivered blockbuster hits like “Athadu” and “Khaleja.” The film features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead, alongside Sreeleela, after Pooja Hegde departs from the project. The music for the film has been composed by the talented S Thaman. Despite facing several challenges, including script revisions and changes in the cast and crew, the shooting of the film is progressing briskly. Fans can mark their calendars for the theatrical release on the 13th of January 2024, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Sankranthi.
