Kajol Devgan, the celebrated Bollywood actress, recently commemorated 29 years of her lesser-known film “Udhaar Ki Zindagi,” reminiscing about its significant impact on her career and personal life. Despite its relative obscurity among the general audience, the film holds a special place in Kajol’s heart as she acknowledged its role as a pivotal turning point during the early years of her illustrious acting journey.

In a heartfelt post shared on her Instagram, Kajol acknowledged the film’s profound significance, stating, “For me, it will always be a turning point in my career and my life.” Recounting her experiences during that period, she expressed feeling “burnt out” and realized the need for a shift in her approach towards work and life, leading her to make a critical decision at the age of 20. She emphasized the importance of taking a break and finding a better pace of work, a decision that significantly influenced the trajectory of her career.

Subsequently, the esteemed actress embarked on projects that didn’t demand every ounce of her energy, allowing her to discover the art of balancing work and personal life more effectively. Concluding her post on a positive note, she emphasized the importance of maintaining a sustainable pace in an increasingly fast-paced world, underlining the enduring relevance of her introspective journey.

Directed by K.V. Raju, “Udhaar Ki Zindagi,” a 1994 release, featured Kajol alongside Jeetendra and Moushumi Chatterjee. The film served as a remake of the 1991 Telugu language film “Seetharamayya Gari Manavaralu,” contributing to the rich tapestry of Kajol’s early filmography, which also included her notable roles in “Bekhudi” and the iconic “Baazigar” with Shah Rukh Khan.

In recent years, Kajol has continued to captivate audiences with her remarkable performances, notably in the legal drama series “The Trial,” where she portrayed a compelling role as a lawyer. Her appearance in the anthology film “Lust Stories 2” further underscored her versatile acting prowess. Fans eagerly anticipate her upcoming projects, including “Do Patti,” produced by Kriti Sanon, and “Sarzameen,” alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran and Ibrahim Ali Khan, promising yet another chapter in her illustrious cinematic journey.
