Deepika Padukone Opens Up About Career Plans and Hollywood Aspirations

Deepika Padukone, the beloved actress of Bollywood, has not only garnered immense love and popularity in India but has also made a mark in Hollywood and represented India on global platforms. She served as a jury member at the prestigious 75th Cannes Film Festival, became the first Indian brand ambassador for luxury brands like Louis Vuitton and Cartier, and made stunning appearances at events like the MET Gala. With her counterparts, Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra venturing into Hollywood, Deepika is often asked about her plans to follow suit.

When asked about moving to Hollywood, the talented actress responded, “My mission has always been to make a global impact while still being rooted in my country.” Deepika’s approach reflects her desire to create a balance between her international ventures and her strong connection to India. In 2017, she starred in the Hollywood film xXx: Return of Xander Cage alongside Vin Diesel, which marked her debut in the Western film industry. Reflecting on her experience, she shared, “We speak in English all the time, but to act in English for the first time was so weird.”

Looking ahead, Deepika Padukone has an exciting lineup of projects. She is currently preparing for the film Fighter, an aerial action thriller directed by Siddharth Anand, in which she will be sharing the screen with Hrithik Roshan. The movie also features Anil Kapoor in a pivotal role. Additionally, Deepika is set to make her Telugu debut in the sci-fi thriller Project K, directed by Nag Ashwin, alongside pan-Indian star Prabhas.
