Ayan Mukerji to Direct Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s Spy Thriller ‘War 2’ for a Whopping Amount of Rs. 32 Crores

Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe is expanding, and the excitement has risen since the release of Pathaan earlier this year. The Spy Universe is set to grow with films such as Tiger Vs Pathaan and War 2. As per the latest reports, Ayan Mukerji will be helming the sequel to Hrithik Roshan’s blockbuster movie ‘War,’ and the director will be paid handsomely for his endeavours.

According to sources close to Bollywood Hungama, Ayan Mukerji’s association with Yash Raj Films came after Aditya Chopra was impressed by Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The source stated that Aditya Chopra made an offer to Ayan, and the director was delighted to enter the YRF Spy Universe. Ayan Mukerji is reportedly being paid a whopping amount of Rs. 32 crores as directorial fees for War 2. He is also gearing up to start the pre-production work this month and aims to take War 2 on floors by November, with plans to wrap it up in a year.

Alia Bhatt will be joining Hrithik Roshan in the spy thriller, and Jr NTR is reportedly on board for the film as well. In addition, Deepika Padukone and Sarvari Wagh are also in the race for a role. It is interesting to note that Deepika is already a part of YRF’s spy universe. “The consideration and the zeroing down on the three names that are being considered for the female lead’s role have created quite a buzz in the YRF office,” ETimes quoted their source as saying.

As per a report from Pinkvilla, NTR will be seen locking horns with Hrithik’s Kabir in the film, indicating that the Telugu superstar may be playing the antagonist. An action-packed face-off has also been penned for the film, which is sure to delight Hrithik and Tarak’s fans.
