Kiara Advani Gives Glimpse into Motherhood : ‘Being a Mom is the Hardest Job Ever’

New Delhi: Actor Kiara Advani, who welcomed a baby girl in July with husband Sidharth Malhotra, has shared her first subtle reflection on motherhood—and it’s as emotional as it is relatable..

Staying largely away from the public eye since the birth of her daughter, Kiara recently broke her silence—without saying a word. She reposted a powerful Instagram reel featuring global music icon Rihanna, where the singer talks candidly about how becoming a mother gave her newfound respect for her own mom and just how demanding motherhood really is.

In the video, Rihanna says, “I think being a mom is probably the hardest job ever… I always say, mom, I respect you. Great job, because we need to hear it sometimes.” The reel continues with Rihanna describing how mothers often make parenting look effortless, even with limited resources, and how she now sees her own mother as “superhuman.”

By sharing this clip, Kiara gave fans a rare and emotional glimpse into her state of mind as she adjusts to life as a new mum.

While Kiara has not spoken directly about this new chapter, her husband Sidharth Malhotra did open up during a recent appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show. Laughing about the big changes in their daily routine, he said, “Pura schedule change ho gaya. Raat ko late nights chal rahi hai par alag kisam ki. Teen chaar baje feeding ho raha hai.” (Our entire schedule has changed. These days we’re up all night but for a very different reason—feedings at 3–4 AM!)

The couple had announced the arrival of their daughter on July 15 through a heartfelt Instagram post:
“Our hearts are full and our world forever changed. We are blessed with a baby girl.”

They also requested privacy from the media and paparazzi:
“We hope to enjoy this special time intimately as a family. No photos please, only blessings!”

Kiara and Sidharth got married in 2023 in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, after starring together in the 2021 war drama Shershaah, which made their on-screen and off-screen chemistry a fan-favourite.

On the work front, Kiara was last seen in War 2, a high-octane spy thriller starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film received a mixed response, with critics calling out its weak writing and underwhelming visual effects.

But for now, it seems Kiara has stepped into her most challenging and rewarding role yet—not in front of the camera, but as a mother.
