About The Film

KANNAPPA is a mythological drama inspired by the story of Bhakta Kannappa, one of Lord Shiva’s most devoted followers. The film stars Vishnu Manchu in the titular role of Thinnadu, a fierce warrior who undergoes a remarkable transformation into a dedicated disciple of Lord Shiva. The cast also includes Mohanlal and Prabhas in key roles, with Akshay Kumar portraying Lord Shiva and Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati. Produced by M. Mohan Babu, the film was showcased at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2024.

On March 1, the film’s teaser was released, offering a first look at this epic reimagining of Thinnadu’s journey. The clip portrays Thinnadu as a battle-hardened warrior who, after experiencing the brutal realities of war and losing his soldiers, begins to question his beliefs. His journey towards spiritual enlightenment and his transformation into a devoted follower of Lord Shiva form the heart of the narrative. The teaser also highlights Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Lord Shiva and Kajal Aggarwal as Goddess Parvati. Mohanlal takes center stage as Kirata, a powerful character with a commanding presence, while the teaser concludes with an exciting glimpse of Prabhas’s entry as Rudra, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience.
