Shankar Admits He’s ‘Not Fully Satisfied’ with Game Changer’s Output

S. Shankar’s Telugu debut, Game Changer, has been doing well at the box office, but its largely negative reviews may have affected its growth. In a candid conversation with Behindwoods TV, Shankar shared why he isn’t entirely satisfied with the final outcome of the film, which stars Ram Charan and Kiara Advani.

What Shankar Actually Said:

Shankar expressed, “I’m not entirely satisfied with the final output of Game Changer. I feel I could have done better. Several good scenes had to be trimmed due to time constraints. The total duration initially exceeded five hours, so we had to cut down certain parts to refine the film,” he said in Tamil.

Known for making lengthy films, Shankar had previously decided to split his film Indian 2 into two parts, as he couldn’t fit the entire story into a three-hour runtime. Indian 2 released last year, with Indian 3 set to release later this year. The original Indian (1996) is a cult classic, starring Kamal Haasan, and the sequel features Kamal alongside Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, and Gulshan Grover, among others.

Ram Charan takes on a double role as both father and son in Game Changer, which hit cinemas on January 10. The film also stars SJ Suryah, Jayaram, and Vennela Kishore. Written by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations, the movie blends action and emotion in its storytelling.
