Ram Charan confirms his Hollywood debut; confesses “news will be out soon”

The SS Rajamouli directorial RRR not only roared at the Indian box office but also introduced the Telugu film industry to the globe. The lead actors of the film, Ram Charan and Jr NTR also became global stars. Given the popularity and fame coming from foreign lands, many are awaiting for them to make their Hollywood debut. Thus, when recently asked about the same, Ram Charan confirmed that he is gearing up to make his Hollywood debut and the news will be out soon.

It all happened during his conversation with former film critic Sam Fragoso for the latter’s podcast called Talk Easy. When the host asked if the Indian actor wishes to work outside India, Ram asserted, “I am open to working in any country where cinema is appreciated and there’s an audience who appreciate your work. Wherever the camera rolls, I want to be there. You can plan toward it and let it happen. We are definitely in talks.”

The 37-year-old actor further added, “The talks are happening but how it would transcend into a movie and me walking into sets… there’s definitely going to be news, and it will come out in a couple of months.” As the conversation progressed further, the host also asked if he would want to act with anyone in Hollywood, he said, “One of the top stars I want to work with is Julia Roberts. I can also be a part of the movie as a guest. I mean who doesn’t like Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts?,” in response.

Coming to the professional front, he is currently in the US to attend the Oscars and represent RRR. For the unversed, RRR’s song, ‘Naati Naatu,’ has bagged a nomination in the category of the Best Original Song category at the 95th Academy Awards, which will be held on March 12.
