Ram Charan and wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela end speculation on couple welcoming their baby in the USA

RRR actor Ram Charan has been shutting in and out of country owing to the massive response of his last blockbuster RRR as well as the shoot schedule of his next, RC15. Amidst the hectic work schedules, the Telugu superstar is all gearing up to enter the new phase of fatherhood after he and his entrepreneur wife Upasana Kamineni Konidela announced their pregnancy back in December 2022. The actor is currently in USA after his film has been receiving several accolades at prestigious awards internationally and it has further fueled up reports of his wife having her first delivery in the States. However, putting a rest to the rumours, the actor’s team has asserted that the couple has opted for delivery in India itself.

A source close to the couple said, “Upasana Konidela, who is also the Vice Chairperson of CSR at Apollo Hospitals, is excited to have her child delivered in her home country amidst the hospital staff she has known for years.” Speculation had arisen after Ram Charan’s appearance on popular news show Good Morning America, leading to rumors that the couple might be planning to welcome their firstborn in the USA. However, Upasana took to Twitter to clarify that their delivery will be taking place in India.

Expressing her enthusiasm for this new phase in her life, Upasana shared, “I am thrilled to have our first baby delivered in our home country – India, surrounded by a world class medical OB/GYN team at The Apollo Hospitals, including Dr Sumana Manohar, Dr Rooma Sinha and now Dr Jennifer Ashton from the Good Morning America Show. This journey holds many exciting experiences for us and we look forward to this new phase in our lives with great anticipation.”

At Apollo hospitals, the OB/GYN team will consist of Dr Sumana Manohar and Dr Rooma Sinha. Also, Dr Jennifer Ashton, a Board-certified Ob-Gyn, author and TV medical correspondent from the USA will also be part of the team to deliver the couple’s baby.

As for the film commitments of her husband Ram Charan, the actor will next be seen alongside popular Bollywood actress Kiara Advani in RC15 and the untitled Pan India film is directed by South filmmaker S Shankar.
