The futuristic film Project K, which features the enviable cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone, is expected to be one of the big-budgeted entertainers that have ever been made in Indian cinema. Filmmaker Nag Ashwin is leaving no stone unturned to create this special action entertainer. In fact, with the ample buzz around for the film, the makers decided to kick off a series of episodes to give fans a sneak peek into the world of Project K. And as a New Year treat to fans, the makers unveiled the first episode of ‘From Skratch: Re-inventing the wheel’, which takes us through the technology of the film along with a few glimpses of behind the scenes (BTS) montages.

In the recently released episode of making Project K, ‘From Skratch: Re-inventing the wheel’ showcases the process undergone to make a wheel in this lavishly mounted action drama. A source close to the film added about how even such a minute process was done with immense care and extensive supervision from Nag Ashwin, who is the man behind the world of this futuristic drama. The source said, “Of course, it’s not a regular wheel. Even though on a lighter note, the team made a mockery of Nag Ashwin for his enthusiasm to design and make the wheel. However, he knows the importance of it. In fact, we can also see a producer like Priyanka Dutt being so extensively involved in the project and you can see it in the video. There is much more to come in the series of From Skratch. Nag Ashwin is also the creative director of Project K and he has taken special care on script and also its other pre-production formalities.”

It is being said that Nag Ashwin made a public appeal to Anand Mahindra, owner of the Mahindra group, requesting them to lend automobile technology from their business for the forthcoming action entertainer. “The movie needed Mahindra Group’s assistance in developing future automobiles for the film and Anand Mahindra is lending full support,” added the source.

Although the roles are kept under wraps, we hear that Amitabh Bachchan will be seen in a lengthy and significant role in the movie, whereas Deepika Padukone will be seen as the love interest of Prabhas. Celebrating 50 memorable years, production house Vyjayanthi Movies is producing this as their golden jubilee project along with Ashwini Dutt.
