Hombale Films gave superhit movies like KGF, KGF: Chapter 2 and Kantara. The production company mainstreamed the term Pan India in Indian cinema. With its roots in Kannada cinema, Hombale is all set to explore other languages of the South. The next big project in its kitty is the Prabhas starrer-Salaar. The forthcoming film is being made in the original Telugu language and later it will also be released in Tamil, Hindi and Kannada.

Speaking of the upcoming film, the founders of Hombale Films, Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda stated that it will be bigger than the KGF franchise. The portal also asked them to elaborate on their plans for 2023. In response, they asserted, “We have some big plans. Next year is going to be bigger with Salaar in September. We have Dhoomam with Fahadh Faasil and then we are also launching Yuvarajkumar (grandson of matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar). We have Bagheera, which has been written by Prashant, (it) will be released towards the end of 2023. We have Tyson with Prithviraj Sukumaran. The writer wanted at least one year to write for Tyson, so the shooting would start in 2024.” They concluded by saying, “In the next two years, we have at least 12 movies in the pipeline.”

For the unversed, directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar is slated to release on September 28, 2023. Touted as a high-voltage actioner, Salaar has been shot in India and in countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
