Jr NTR Wraps Up First Schedule of ‘War 2’ in Mumbai, Returns to Hyderabad

Jr NTR has completed filming the first leg of “War 2,” the much-anticipated sequel to the 2019 action-packed hit “War.” Fans have eagerly awaited updates since the announcement of NTR Jr’s collaboration with Hrithik Roshan in this high-octane drama. The initial schedule of shooting took place in Mumbai, and NTR Jr wrapped up his part on time. After nearly a month-long stint in Mumbai, the actor has returned to Hyderabad.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, known for his notable works like “Wake Up Sid,” “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani,” and “Brahmastra,” “War 2” reportedly also stars Kiara Advani. While the film’s release is slated for next year, fans are eagerly awaiting an official announcement regarding the complete cast and the release date.

The original “War,” directed by Siddarth Anand, was a massive success, grossing over Rs 200 crores within just seven days of its release in 2019. Hrithik Roshan, one of the stars of the original film, expressed his excitement about sharing screen space with Jr NTR during the IIFA Awards 2023. Hrithik even took to Twitter on Jr NTR’s birthday, hinting at their forthcoming collaboration in “War 2.”

In the midst of all this, Jr NTR is gearing up for the release of “Devara,” where he shares the screen with Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor. Speaking at an event in Hyderabad, NTR Jr assured fans that the wait for “Devara: Part 1” will be worthwhile and will fill them with pride upon its release. Directed by Koratala Siva, known for his previous collaboration with NTR Jr in the hit film “Janatha Garage,” “Devara” is set to be released in two parts, with the first instalment hitting theatres in October this year.
