Filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s RRR is staying in the headlines and for all the right reasons. Following the Golden Globes 2023 win, RRR bagged the Best Film in Foreign Language Award at the Critics Choice Awards 2023. At the awards night, Rajamouli met Avatar: The Way Of Water filmmaker James Cameron who recommended RRR to his wife too. A clip of their conversation has gone viral and it is all things beautiful.

During the conversation, Cameron told Rajamouli “If you ever want to make a movie over here, let’s talk.”  The clip was shared on the official handle of the RRR movie. He was heard telling Rajamouli, “And the setup… Your fire, water story. Reveal after the reveal. And then you show what happened in the back story. It’s like all of them are a homely setup. Why he’s doing what he’s doing and the twists and turns and the friendship and eventually it gets to a point that where he can’t even kill him when the other reverses…It’s just so, so powerful.” His wife also revealed that Cameron watched RRR twice.

The Avatar: The Way Of Water director praised MM Keeravani’s music who composed ‘Naatu Naatu’. He said, “And you composed, right? Because I saw you at the Golden Globes. The score, it’s kind of amazing. Because I like the music to kind of stay out of the way and kind of come on in and support when the audience is already feeling something so it builds the theme. But you are using the music very differently.”

Previously, S. S. Rajamouli shared photos from their conversation and captioned them, “The great James Cameron watched RRR. He liked it so much that he recommended to his wife Suzy and watched it again with her. Sir I still cannot believe you spent a whole 10 minutes with us analyzing our movie. As you said I AM ON TOP OF THE WORLD… Thank you both.”

‘Naatu Naatu’ won the Best Song. M.M. Keeravani accepted the award. Meanwhile, it already has Oscars 2023 buzz as the film was submitted for 15 categories. RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ has been shortlisted for Best Original Song for Academy Awards 2023.
