Chiranjeevi is proud of Ram Charan as James Cameron goes gaga about his performance in RRR; calls it “No less than an Oscar”

We all are aware that S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR has already made quite a buzz across the globe. Not only this, but the film has also bagged an Oscar nomination. While everyone is waiting for the 95th Academy Awards, the film and its lead cast continue to receive love. Among many others is Hollywood director James Cameron, who has showered love on the film multiple times. Sharing the video clip of one of his videos, in which he can be seen lauding Ram Charan, the latter’s father Chiranjeevi stated that he felt proud of how far Ram has come in his career.

For the unversed, the video clip was from James’ conversation with Speak Easy, where he asserted, “It’s really quite an accomplishment. It’s an amazing film. I saw it for the first time, I watched it alone and I didn’t know what to expect. I was astonished, not just by the physical style of the film and the use of very good VFX, but also by the storytelling.”

The renowned filmmaker further added, “There’s a classism to the storytelling that is almost Shakespearean and the journey you go on especially with the understanding of Ram’s character who’s very challenging for two-thirds of the movie and you finally understand what’s going on in his head and it’s heartbreaking. I think it’s a triumph. I told Rajamouli in person recently.”

Sharing the video clip on his verified social media handle, Chiranjeevi tweeted, “Sir @JimCameron / an acknowledgement of his character in #RRR from a Global Icon & Cinematic Genius like you is no less than an Oscar itself! It’s a great honor for  @AlwaysRamCharan. As a father I feel proud of how far he’s come. Ur compliment is a blessing for his future endeavours.”

RRR is a fictional period drama based on the lives of two Telugu freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem. Besides Ram, it also features Jr NTR.
