In a recent event, popular actor Vijay Deverakonda shared some thought-provoking insights and stood up in defence of the legendary Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi against criticisms. Amid his busy schedule promoting the upcoming romantic drama “Kushi,” directed by Siva Nirvana and starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu as the female lead, Vijay took a strong stance on the importance of respecting veteran actors in the industry.

During the event, a journalist posed a negative question about Chiranjeevi, to which Vijay Deverakonda responded with a resolute reply. He emphasized that stalwarts like Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi transcend the boundaries of hits and flops. “Even Rajinikanth sir faced 5-6 consecutive flops, but he returned with a blockbuster like ‘Jailer.’ At that point, we should pause and appreciate their journey,” said Vijay.

Turning his attention to Chiranjeevi, Vijay highlighted the actor’s remarkable resilience. He acknowledged that Chiranjeevi might have experienced a series of setbacks, but he also exhibited the ability to bounce back stronger. The young actor expressed his admiration for Chiranjeevi’s transformative impact on the industry. He credited Chiru for revolutionizing action, dance, and performances in Telugu cinema, inspiring countless individuals to pursue careers in the film world.

Vijay Deverakonda made a compelling argument against the practice of judging actors solely based on the success or failure of their films. He stressed that actors deserve respect for the influence they wield over aspiring talents and the broader industry audience. Vijay asserted that making derogatory comments about senior actors is both discourteous and disrespectful.

As fans eagerly await the release of “Kushi,” Vijay Deverakonda’s words carry significance. The film’s trailer already provides a glimpse into the enchanting world of Aaradhya and Viplav, portrayed by Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Vijay Deverakonda respectively. Their journey of love, like life itself, traverses highs and lows, struggles, and moments of sweetness.

The trailer launch event, held in Hyderabad, brought together the film’s cast, crew, and media representatives from across the country. However, the lead actress Samantha was notably absent due to her ongoing break from acting to attend to her health. She is currently dealing with Myositis, an autoimmune condition.

Vijay Deverakonda’s sincere and insightful remarks serve as a reminder that respect and appreciation are fundamental, especially in the world of cinema. As the release date of “Kushi” draws near, audiences are not only anticipating the film’s romantic tale but are also inspired by Vijay Deverakonda’s thoughtful perspective on the industry’s veterans.
