Sivakarthikeyan has been gearing up for his action-packed film Maaveeran, directed by Madonne Ashwin. Earlier, the film was announced to release on August 11. Now, the film has been pre-poned to July 14. Reportedly, the decision to change the release date has been made to avoid a clash with Rajinikanth starrer Jailer.

Makers of Maaveeran took to Twitter and dropped a new poster to announce a new release date. Sivakarthikeyan’s Maaveeran preponed to avoid a clash with Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer at the box office. The of Maaveeran is also inspired by Rajinikanth’s 1986 film of the same name.
Maveeran is a high on action film with elements of political commentary in its narration. The movie is produced by Arun Viswa under the banner Shanthi Talkies. The film is also set to release in Telugu under the title Mahaveerudu. Music for the film is composed by Bharath Sankar while Philomin Raj handles editing and Vidhu Ayyanna handles the cinematography.
