In recent days, the rumour mill has been abuzz with speculation that Telugu superstar Ram Charan might be stepping into the shoes of renowned cricketer Virat Kohli for an upcoming biopic. The reports had left fans of both Charan and Kohli eagerly anticipating an official confirmation, with social media platforms witnessing a surge in discussions surrounding the potential casting.

Ram Charan, who is enjoying a successful phase in his career following the massive success of his recent film “RRR”, had previously expressed his interest in taking up a sports drama. During an event, he mentioned his desire to portray Virat Kohli on screen, a statement that seemingly fueled the recent rumours. It was reported that a prestigious Bollywood production house had approached the “Rangasthalam” actor with the proposal, and he had given his nod to the project.

However, putting an end to the swirling rumours, sources close to Ram Charan clarified the actual scenario. In a statement to media, the actor’s spokesperson confirmed that the reports are entirely baseless. Ram Charan has no intentions of portraying Virat Kohli in the biopic, contrary to the circulating rumours. Currently, the actor is concentrating on completing his ongoing projects.

On the work front, Ram Charan is gearing up for a series of promising ventures. Following the grand success of “RRR”, directed by SS Rajamouli, Charan is collaborating with acclaimed director S Shankar for a political thriller titled “Game Changer”. His journey doesn’t stop there; he is also teaming up with “Uppena” director Buchi Babu Sana for a rustic sports drama, tentatively named “RC 16”. This project, slated to begin production in early 2024, promises to showcase Charan in a never-before-seen avatar. The much-anticipated film has roped in Academy Award-winning musician AR Rahman to compose the soundtrack and original score. The team is in the process of finalizing the female lead and other cast members.

As Ram Charan continues to focus on roles that challenge him both as a star and a performer, fans can look forward to witnessing more versatile performances from the actor in the coming years.
