In a candid revelation, actor Rakshit Shetty spoke about his current relationship with ex-fiancée Rashmika Mandanna, dispelling any rumors of lingering animosity between the two. Despite their broken engagement, the actors maintain a friendly rapport, occasionally exchanging text messages and well-wishes for each other’s projects.

A Complex History

Rakshit and Rashmika first crossed paths during the making of “Kirik Party,” a film directed by Rishab Shetty and produced by Rakshit himself. The film marked Rashmika’s acting debut. However, their relationship took a hit when Rashmika discussed her debut film without explicitly mentioning the production house, leading some fans to perceive it as a slight against Rakshit and Rishab.

The Kantara Controversy

Adding fuel to the fire, Rashmika’s admission of not having seen Rishab’s globally successful film “Kantara” drew criticism from Kannada cinema enthusiasts. They accused her of being disloyal to the industry that gave her a start.

Rakshit Clears the Air

When asked about the current dynamics between himself, Rashmika, and Rishab, Rakshit was forthright. “Rishab… I’m not sure (laughs). As for me and Rashmika, we exchange occasional messages,” he said. “It’s not constant communication, but whenever my film is released, she extends her wishes, and I do the same when her film comes out. We exchange birthday greetings as well.”

Rakshit also praised Rashmika’s career trajectory, saying, “She has always had big dreams, and she’s achieving them. She deserves credit for that.”

A Mature Approach

The actors’ mature handling of their past relationship and current friendship serves as a lesson in professionalism and personal growth. While they may not be in constant touch, the mutual respect and well-wishes they share are evident.
