Rumours about Siddharth Anand directing the upcoming film Krrish 4, starring Hrithik Roshan, have been put to rest by veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. The Krrish series, which started with Koi… Mil Gaya in 2003, has become one of Bollywood’s most popular superhero franchises. Following the success of Krrish 3 in 2013, there have been speculations about the next film, with reports of Hrithik Roshan looking for a Hollywood director to helm the project.
However, Rakesh Roshan has clarified that he will be directing Krrish 4, as he has directed all three previous instalments of the franchise. Talking to Times Of India, he dismissed the rumours about Siddharth Anand directing the film, saying that it was the first time he had heard of such news. A source close to the development confirmed that the Roshans are currently working on the plot for Krrish 4 and will announce the film as soon as they find a script.
The completion 15 years of the first Krrish film, Hrithik Roshan teased Krrish 4 via his social media handles in June 2021. While the film’s details are still under wraps, it is expected to feature Hrithik Roshan as Krrish, the superhero who fights evil forces to save the world. The Krish franchise has not only been successful at the box office but also became synonymous with video games and comics.
As for Siddharth Anand, he has been busy with his upcoming film Fighter, starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. The film is being produced by Viacom18 Studios and is set to release on September 30, 2022. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan has been focusing on his upcoming projects, including the Hindi adaptation of the Tamil film Vikram Vedha and a biopic on the mathematician Anand Kumar.
