Rajinikanth’s Jailer release date announced with a power-packed teaser

Legendary actor Rajinikanth has been gearing up for his 169^th film Jailer. The film is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, backed by Sun Pictures. The production house made the announcement today by releasing an intense teaser. The teaser features an ensemble cast including Rajinikanth, Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan among others.

Jailer marks the first collaboration of Nelson with Rajinikanth. The music of the film is scored by Anirudh. Sandalwood actor Shiva Rajkumar is making his debut in Tamil cinema with Jailer. The film’s cinematography is handled by Vijay Karthik Kannan and editing by R. Nirmal.

Jailer is all set to hit the big screens on August 10. The film will be released worldwide during Independence Day week. Rajinikanth will be playing jailer Muthuvel Pandian in the film. The teaser looks highly action-packed and intriguing. The major part of the film has been shot in Hyderabad and Kerala.
