Raj B Shetty Unveils Intense First Look of “Toby” – A Highly Anticipated Kannada Film

Renowned director and actor Raj B Shetty, known for his critically acclaimed films like “Ondu Motteya Kathe” and “Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana,” is all set to captivate audiences once again with his upcoming project titled “Toby.” Directed by debutant Basil Alchakkal, this film has generated significant anticipation among Kannada cinema enthusiasts. The recently unveiled first look showcases Raj in a fierce and intense avatar, leaving fans eager for more.

Taking to Twitter, Raj B Shetty shared the gripping first look from “Toby,” where he is seen donning a nose ring and a rugged beard, with visible bruises and wounds on his face. The initial glimpse perfectly complements the announcement poster, which featured a bejeweled goat sporting a massive nose ring.

Expressing his excitement, Raj tweeted, “Time to halt your clocks and… feel the fever!! Lifting the drape on the fiery rendition of #TobyFirstLook.”

“Toby” is written and produced by Raj B Shetty himself, further showcasing his multifaceted talent. According to reports, the film revolves around a character portrayed by Raj who has faced consistent harassment, leading him to unleash his inner Maari (goddess Maramma) to settle the score. Joining Raj in this highly anticipated project are talented actors Chaithra J Achar, Samyukta Hornad, and Gopalkrishna Deshpande, among others, who will be seen in pivotal roles. The film boasts music by Midhun Mukundan and cinematography by Praveen Shriyan. Fans can mark their calendars as “Toby” is scheduled for release on August 25, 2023.

Apart from “Toby,” Raj B Shetty is also busy with his next directorial venture, “Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye.” This love drama features Raj alongside Siri Ravikumar and is produced by politician-actor Ramya under the banner of Apple Box Production. The music for the film is composed by Mithun Mukundan, while Praveen Shriyan handles the editing.

Additionally, Raj will be seen sharing the screen with Aparna Balamurali in the Malayalam film “Rudhiram,” directed by Jisho Lone Antony. The movie’s music will be composed by Midhun Mukundan.

With his upcoming projects, Raj B Shetty continues to enthral audiences with his versatility and creative storytelling. “Toby” promises to be an intense and gripping cinematic experience that fans eagerly await, while “Swathi Mutthina Male Haniye” and “Rudhiram” showcase Raj’s diverse range as an actor.
