With a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Amitabh Bachchan, and more, and the talented Nag Ashwin in the director’s chair, known for his previous box office hits like Mahanati and Yevade Subramanyam, this film has generated immense buzz among cinephiles.

Vyjayanthi Movies recently made an official announcement on their social media platforms regarding the legal notice concerning copyright infringement related to Kalki 2898 AD. According to the notice, any sharing of ‘scenes, footages, stills, music, images, or anythiaboutining to the film by any persons, including through social media,’ would constitute a criminal offence, subject to punishment under the Copyright Act of 1957.

A Ban on Photography and Videography

This legal notice effectively prohibits any form of photography or videography related to the film, including capturing the title card, opening or closing credits, or any scene from the movie. The production company is determined to protect the film’s intellectual property and maintain the element of surprise for the audience.

Insight into the Film

Kalki 2898 AD is a highly anticipated science fiction film directed by Nag Ashwin. This marks Nag Ashwin’s fourth directorial venture, following his successful works like Yevade Subramanyam, Mahanati, and xLife (a segment in the anthology Pitta Kathalu). The film was initially referred to as ‘Project K’ when it was announced in 2020, with Prabhas confirmed as the lead actor.

Later, it was revealed that Disha Patani, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan would also play significant roles in the film. The teaser for Kalki 2898 AD premiered at the 2023 San Diego Comic-Con and received a positive response from the global audience.

The film’s cinematography is in the capable hands of Djordje Stojiljkovic, while the music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, renowned for his work in films like Vada Chennai and Mahaan. The dialogues for the film are penned by Sai Madhav Burra, known for his contributions to films like RRR, Mahanati, and Aakashavaani. The release of Kalki 2898 AD is eagerly anticipated early next year.

Directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame, the film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu in prominent roles.
