Thankam Trailer: Fahadh Faasil partners with Bhavana Studios for this crime drama

After giving many successful films in different South languags, Fahadh Faasil decided to stay behind the camera for the upcoming Malayalam thriller Thankam.  The actor will be seen producing this venture that is directed by Saheed Arafath. And it will feature a Pan Indian star cast that includes Biju Menon, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Aparna Balamurali, Girish Kulkarni and a few other Marathi, Hindi and Tamil actors.

Thankam trailer was released by Fahadh Faasil through his Facebook page as he also wished the team for the big success. Produced in association with Bhavana Studios, who are known for films like Kumbalangi Nights and JOJI , they have decided to partner with Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan and Syam Pushkaran for this venture. Coming to the crime Drama Thankam, it is penned by National Award winning writer Syam Pushkaran who has earlier scripted the much acclaimed Maheshinte Prathikaram, Kumbalangi Nights and JOJI. The recently released trailer earlier released has definitely piqued the curiosity of the audiences as they are left wondering about the mysteries in the film.

The film also marks the debut of Dangal, Ugly fame Girish Kulkarni in South Indian Movie Industry. The trailer showcases him in the role of a Maharashtra police officer who along with his team are investigating the case about a Malayali in Tamil Nadu. The major part of the movie has been extensively shot in the outskirts of Tamil Nadu and Mumbai.

As for the details of Thankam, Gautham Shankar handles the cinematography of the film. With music by Bijibal, the editing is done by Kiran Das, and art direction is by Gokul Das. The sound design is done by Ganesh Marar, and make-up by Ronex Xavier. The film is expected to release worldwide on January 26, on the occasion of Republic Day.
