SS Rajamouli’s next starring Mahesh Babu is inspired by real-life incident

Popular actor Mahesh Babu and filmmaker SS Rajamouli are set to collaborate on a jungle-based adventure movie, essentially an African forest action-drama. The upcoming fill is said to roll in the first half of next year. And, now, renowned writer KV Vijayendra Prasad has given fresh details about the project.

In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Prasad briefly spoke about the upcoming film. He informed that the movie is inspired by a real-life incident. He said, “Yes, you can write it. It’s an adventure story, which will roll next year.” However, he did not give any further detail about the same.

Earlier, Mahesh Babu had also opened up about the project. “It’s too early to speak about the film, but it’s a dream come true for me. SS Rajamouli and I have been trying to work together for a long time and it’s finally happening. I am really excited about the film,” the superstar actor had said to the entertainment portal. In a report, Pinkvilla mentioned that the pre-production work on the film has already begun, and Rajamouli will start the recce for this yet-untitled film soon.

The forthcoming project marking the collaboration of Mahesh and Rajamaouli has been the talk of the town since its inception. Last month, the veteran director attended the Toronto International Film Festival. There, he shared his piece of mind about the film. Rajamouli said, “My next film with Mahesh Babu will be a globetrotting action adventure. It’s going to be a kind of James Bond or Indiana Jones film with Indian roots.”

On the professional front, Mahesh has recently wrapped the first schedule of the Trivikram Srinivas directorial. Interestingly, this is their third project together. They have worked together twice prior to this film, Athadu and Khaleja, and in both films became massive blockbusters.
