Rajinikanth Turns 72: Dhanush wishes superstar on birthday

As Rajinikanth turned 72 today on 12th December, Dhanush took to Twitter and penned a birthday wish for the Superstar, "Happy birthday THALAIVA".

As Rajinikanth turned 72 today on 12th December, Dhanush took to Twitter and penned a birthday wish for the Superstar, “Happy birthday THALAIVA”. Additionally, Hey Sinamika star Dulquer Salmaan also wished the superstar with a special post on the micro-blogging site, “Happy Birthday Superstar #Rajinikanth Sir ! You are the best & keep inspiring us forever.”

Others who went with Twitter to wish the Darbar actor included superstar Kamal Haasan, who wrote, “Happy birthday to my dear friend Superstar
@rajinikanth. Wish you on this auspicious day to continue your journey of success.”

On the work front, Rajinikanth will next grace the silver screens with Nelson Dilipkumar’s directorial Jailer. Pinkvilla has exclusively learned that the team aims for a Tamil New Year release in April 2023. A source close to the development revealed, “If the shoot concludes as per the schedule chalked out at present, Jailer will be the big Tamil New Year release for Kollywood. The idea is to release in on April 14, 2023, and the team is confident that Rajinikanth and Nelson will deliver wholesome entertainment. Jailer follows the storytelling template of a typical Nelson Dilipkumar film i.e comedy and thrill, but has all the right ingredients to celebrate Rajinikanth on the big screen.”

The much-awaited project will also star Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vinayakan, and Vasanth Ravi in key roles, along with others. However, the leading lady of the movie has not been announced yet.
