Producer Naga Vamsi reveals details about SSMB28 starring Mahesh Babu; calls it a ‘family entertainer’

In earlier reports we had mentioned that Mahesh Babu is currently busy with the work on SSMB28, directed by Trivikram Srinivas. While the film is yet to be titled, the makers are ensuring that the film is being created on a much grander scale. Producer Naga Vamsi, who is equally excited about this venture, recently opened up about the massive entertainer in an exclusive interview, wherein he also mentioned that the Telugu Prince wants his fans to get exactly what they want.

Post Khaleja (2010), filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas is reuniting with Mahesh Babu after twelve years. Naga Vamsi revealed to Bollywood Hungama about how the makers don’t want to leave any stones unturned when it comes to the massy entertainer. While the producer was careful enough to not reveal any details of the plotline, Naga Vamsi said, “It’s a complete package, family entertainer with Mahesh Babu being presented in the way his fans want him. Trivikram Srinivas and Mahesh Babu are coming together after 12 years. I can assure you that no fan of their combination will get disappointed with this film. The punch lines of Trivikram Sir will be there in the film. It will have everything and is a complete package commercial entertainer that is coming out in August.”

Naga Vamsi also confirmed that SSMB28 will be a pan India film adding how the pressure to make films on a large scale has become quite the mandate after the stupendous success of South Cinema across the nation. “People are not watching simple films on the screen anymore – they will wait for OTT. So if the visuals have a huge emotion, every visual should have the grandeur, every visual should have the kind of interest that draws people to come to the theaters. Everything has become a challenge for us now. It’s not only the content but also how it is presented,” he concluded.

Talking about SSMB28, the film also stars Pooja Hegde in the lead and it is expected to release on August 11, 2023.
