Since Pawan Kalyan entered politics and became the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, fans have been worried about the status of his pending film projects. One such film, Ustaad Bhagat Singh with Harish Shankar, appeared to be in limbo after its announcement in 2022. Recently, rumors surfaced suggesting the film might be shelved. However, producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers has cleared the air and dismissed these speculations.

Ustaad Bhagat Singh Not Shelved

In a recent press interaction, producer Ravi Shankar shared his excitement about the production house’s extensive line-up for 2026. He highlighted several highly anticipated films, including Jr NTR’s project with Prashanth Neel, Ram Charan’s Peddi with Buchi Babu Sana, Prabhas’ collaboration with Hanu Raghavapudi, Rishab Shetty’s Jai Hanuman with Prasanth Varma, and Vijay Deverakonda’s film with Rahul Sankrityan.

When asked about Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Ravi clarified, “Kalyan garu’s film will be released next year. No pan-India film’s buzz will compare when his film hits the screens. Harish Shankar garu has locked the script, and it’s extraordinary. We’re just waiting for Kalyan garu’s dates to proceed. We plan to wrap it up this year and ensure its release next year, no matter what.” Fans were thrilled to hear that the film is far from being shelved.

Pawan Kalyan’s Upcoming Projects

Ustaad Bhagat Singh is an adaptation of Atlee’s 2016 Vijay-starrer Theri, which was recently remade in Hindi as Baby John. Harish Shankar, known for adapting several films like Dabangg, Jigarthanda, and Raid, is helming the project. It remains to be seen whether his adaptation of Theri will surpass his recent work with Mr. Bachchan.

In addition to Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Pawan Kalyan also has two exciting projects lined up — Hari Hara Veera Mallu with Krish-Jyothi Krishna and They Call Him OG with Sujeeth. Pawan returned to work first on HHVM, but he has yet to complete shooting for the other films.
