Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth celebrates Pongal with parents Rajinikanth and Latha

Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth on the occasion of Pongal, recently shared pictures from her Pongal celebrations this year. She posted a string of photos featuring her along with father-veteran actor Rajinikanth, and Mother Latha Rajinikanth.

In the pictures shared, Aishwaryaa can be seen cooking in the kitchen, placing sweets on a banana leaf, feeding leaves to cows as a part of the rituals and much more. In the last picture, Aishwaryaa, with her sons, Yatra and Linga can be seen taking blessings from Rajinikanth and Latha. Filmmaker Aishwaryaa donned herself in a cream saree. Veteran actor Rajinikanth wore a white shirt and veshti. Latha was seen in an indigo saree. Sharing the post on Wednesday, Aishwaryaa wrote, “Hope you and your loved ones had a memorable #pongal..may god bless everyone with only happiness, peace, and prosperity in abundance”.

Soon after the photos were dropped, fan and industry friends reacted to the post. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari commented, “Byoot with a red heart emoji”. A user commented, “Missing Dhanush”, while another wrote, “Happy to see Thalaivar smiling face. Happy Pongal Mam, Hope You enjoyed your quality time with your family…”

Actor Dhanush and Aishwaryaa had shared a statement in regards to their separation in January. The couple had tied knot in 2004 and had been married for 18 years. They have two sons Yatra Raja and Linga Raja. Dhanush had shared a note that said, “18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well-wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting, and adapting”.

“Today we stand at a place where our paths separate. Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do Respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this. Om Nama Shivaya! Spread love, D”, the actor added.

On the professional front, Aishwarya Rajinikanth will be helming a project titled Lal Salaam, which will feature the megastar Rajinikanth in a special role. On the other hand, the film will have music composed by the legendary A.R. Rahman.
