“Animal” Undergoes CBFC Modifications Ahead of A-Rating Release

The much-anticipated film Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor in a lead role, is set for its theatrical release on December 1, having secured an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Ahead of its release, several alterations were made to adhere to certification standards, offering a glimpse into the changes made.

CBFC-Mandated Changes:

  1. Vocabulary Modifications:
    • “Black” was altered (new version unspecified).
    • “Costume” changed to “Vastra.”
    • Minor alterations in dialogues: “Kabhi nahi,” “Kya bol rahe ho aap.”
  2. Subtitle Alterations:
    • Muted “Natak,” was replaced with a different dialogue.
    • Subtitles replaced: “You change pads four times a month.”
    • Cuss words are modified wherever present.
  3. Deleted Intimate Scene:
    • Close-up shots from an intimate sequence between Vijay and Zoya were removed.

CBFC Rating and Runtime Details:

  • CBFC Rating: ‘A’ certificate for the film.
  • Runtime: Approximately 3 hours, 21 minutes, and 23 seconds.

UK Rating and Description:

  • The UK rating for Animal is 18+ due to elements of strong bloody violence, sexual violence, sexual threat, language, and injury details.

About the Film:

Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga (Arjun Reddy fame), Animal features a stellar cast including Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Ranbir Kapoor. Anil Kapoor portrays Ranbir’s father, while Rashmika appears opposite Ranbir. Bobby Deol takes on the antagonist role. Scheduled for release in five languages – Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada – the film promises an engaging cinematic experience.

As the clock ticks closer to its release date, Animal has garnered significant attention, with modifications made to ensure compliance with certification regulations, hinting at an intense narrative awaiting viewers.
