Vijay Deverakonda, Bhagyashri Borse’s ‘Kingdom’ Gets New Release Date

Vijay Deverakonda’s much-anticipated film Kingdom has been generating buzz for all the right reasons. Initially slated for a theatrical release at the end of May, the film has now been rescheduled, with a new release date set for July 4.

Announcing the update on X (formerly Twitter), Vijay shared a photo with director Gowtam Tinnanuri, along with a heartfelt note explaining the change. The filmmakers cited the current socio-political climate as a key reason, saying it isn’t the right time to conduct promotional activities for the high-octane action thriller.

“We believe this decision will help us present Kingdom in the best possible way with the creative excellence and spirit it deserves. We truly value your support and hope to receive your love when we meet you at the cinemas on July 4,” the statement read.

Kingdom sees Vijay in a dramatically transformed avatar, showcasing a rugged look with a crew cut and a commanding screen presence. The actor’s physical transformation has already caught fans’ attention through posters and teaser visuals.

Directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments, the film features music by Anirudh Ravichander. The first single, Hridayam Lopala, has already made waves with its pulsating beats and sizzling chemistry between Vijay and co-star Bhagyashri Borse, raising anticipation for the film’s release.
