The success of RRR has been a historic one and the film continues to make news with the way it has been received internationally. The South epic saga has now taken its journey further globally by bagging some major nominations at prestigious awards internationally. Recently, after the news of Jr. NTR, yet another pan-India star’s name has been added to the list of nominations in the Best Actor in Action Movie category for Critics Choice Super Awards and it is none other than Tarak’s co-star Ram Charan.

Readers would be aware that Ram Charan played a police officer along with Jr. NTR playing a revolutionary in the epic saga RRR. Now the superstar has bagged a nomination at the Critics Choice Super Awards alongside some big names from the Hollywood industry like Tom Cruise, Nicholas Cage and Brad Pitt. The Critics Choice Association (CCA) unveiled the nominees for the 3rd Annual Critics Choice Super Awards last night. Winners for the same will be released on Thursday, March 16.

Coming to RRR, the film, set in the pre-Independence era amidst the British rule in India, is an action entertainer, directed by S.S. Rajamouli. The movie had previously won a Golden Globe for Best Original Song (for ‘Naatu Naatu’ in which NTR Jr and Ram Charan danced their heart out), among a slew of other international accolades. ‘Naatu Naatu‘ is also nominated for the Oscars this year. The winning streak continues interestingly as RRR is also nominated for ‘Best Action Movie’ at the 3rd Annual Critics Choice Super Awards.

Talking of Ram Charan, the actor has already taken off to the US to attend multiple award functions, including the upcoming Oscars 2023. As for films, the actor will next be seen in RC15 which features Kiara Advani and the untitled venture is directed by S Shankar.
