Jr NTR’s Collaboration with Prashanth Neel Begins with a Fiery Scene on Set

NTR-Neel Project: Jr NTR’s Film with Director Prashanth Neel Officially Begins Production. The actor and the film’s production house, Mythri Movie Makers, took to social media on Thursday to announce the launch, sharing a photo of Prashanth on set.

The production house shared an exciting image of director Prashanth Neel in action, overseeing a scene from the set. Standing atop a vehicle, Prashanth directs while several extras are seen behind a police barricade. A damaged Ambassador car, presumably from an accident, is visible on the road, along with scattered bicycles near a fire.

In their post, the producers wrote on X, “The SOIL finally welcomes its REIGN to leave a MARK in the HISTORY books of Indian Cinema! #NTRNeel shoot has officially begun. A whole new wave of ACTION & EUPHORIA is ready to grip the Masses.” Jr NTR also shared the picture on his Instagram stories, captioning it, “And it begins… #NTRNeel.”

The much-anticipated film starring Jr NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel was first announced on Jr NTR’s birthday in 2022. Last year, on Jr NTR’s birthday in May, Prashanth released a poster from the film, revealing plans for the shoot to begin in August. However, only a pooja ceremony was held at that time, with the film’s production facing delays. Originally, filming was slated to start in March 2023.

After multiple delays, the film, which is set to release in 2026, has finally begun production. Following the pooja ceremony, the producers shared an exciting update, stating, “This time, the earth will tremble under his reign! #NTRNeel will step onto the soil on January 9th, 2026.” However, it remains to be seen if the film will meet its scheduled release date. In addition to this project, Jr NTR is also set to make his Bollywood debut in War 2, directed by Ayan Mukherji, alongside Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani.
